Mine would be the full brief pantie, also known as the granny pantie. I detest the name granny pantie. I have a hatred for the thong, especially on a female. Boy shorts are nice, and other styles, but definitely NOT THONGS. Thongs are nothing but butt floss.
I have tried hundreds of different panties over the last few decades. After all this soul searching have realized that there is no better fabric in the world than the nylon Vanity Fair uses in their Lace Nouveaus. I only wish they would make a hi cut low waisted style for us panty wearers that do so discreetly. I wrote VF and begged them to make them sending them countless post copies of men asking for the same thing. They replied they only use that nylon in full briefs. What a SHAME!!
I also love satin and wear long satin pajama bottoms every night to bed. That is as close to wearing panties with my wife as I have gotten so far.
Mine would be full briefs with some lace, like Vanity Fair's Nouveau, then high cuts and all in satin, nylon or micro-fiber. I haven't tried the no-cotton crotch yet but would like to.

In this topic, the fabric choice is as important a c-untsideration, as is the Style of Pantie--or other Type of Lingerie that happens to be your fave. And also, there's some elastics that might work better than others, in combination with certain fabrics. I've yet to make a good study of elastics, though I know which are better constructed, and have better stretch ratios to a given fabric, how they bond with fabric, as I sew them together, those kinds of things. Hence, I have a huge stash of cannibilized elastics to use with various custom-crafting of my panties, and other lingerie playware.
We are mostly, at large, obviously acquainted with a vast array of fine-deniered, fine-gauged Primo Nylon Tricots, of varying sheernesses/opacities, sheens/glosses, and, drapes/clinginesses. And sad to say, some of the more luxurious and better grades of this stuff, can only be found in vintage items. Oh, well.
Yet I also like Acetate Tricots. By and large Acetate has a more "furry" sensation or aspect, to its softness, than does Nylon. Pretty much the same, with Rayon Tricots.
All these man-made, synthetic yarns, along with other synthetics types that I'm not aware of, can be combined in different combinations, or blends, in the Tricot-Knit mode, to add to the variety of striking tactile effects--different "feels of softnesses" to the fabric. In a Tricot-Knit, however, just don't add Polyester, to the mix, or, by itself. I find the stuff very dead, unbreatheable, and, maybe, just a tad too rough on the skin.
Then there's all those very, very furry Modals, Meryls, and Tencels.
With Rayon as a chemical jumping-off point, Bamboo, yes, Bamboo, along with Birch, Poplar, Cottonwood, and Aspen Fibers are being used to make even newer versions of Acetate, Rayon, and Viscose (A European type of Rayon.). Now, if coniferous tree species could be used (I think, with Spruce and the Sequoias being the most likely.), with Ponderosa Pine, if that were doable, feasible, just think, Winkie could be then be doing something very ponderous, in his Ponderosa Panties!!
There's also Microfibre Lycra/Spandex that's fun. You take the basic gushi-liscious sensation of Tricots, and add the springiness and recoil of all that "rubbery" Lycra/Spandex, most commonly alloyed with Nylon, that gives Winkie just a little extra zing, as it flexes about his ever-lovin' soft-craving lil' face.
I also very much enjoy the downie, furrie, and fuzzie softnesses of many Cotton, and Cotton Blended 1 X 1 Rib-Knits. Those fabrics are most commonly associated with those "dreaded" Tightee-Whiteys, or TW's, for short. TW's got a bad rep, a bad rap in my book, because the wrong grades of Cotton and Synthetics were being used in the yarns and knits. The bad stuff that probably turned you off, was scratchy, stiff, and had no stretchy life to it. There are many brands that I could discuss, but it would take too long, and "bore" you more than I already have! But something to take note of that while Polyester is a failure in the Tricot department, it shines quite nicely, when combined with Cotton, in the Blended 1 X 1 Rib-Knit--done right, it amplifies good quality Cotton fiber's softness, plus, Polyester as a Synthetic, generates static electricity, which definitely adds to the fabric's clinginess. I have sooo much fun, making, out of conventional and high-quality TW's, then playing in panties crafted out of the same!! You really ought to consider adding variety to your body's diet of softnesses.
Cotton does do pretty dismally, when it's done in a Jersey Knit. That's the type of knit that's commonly used in today's Men's T-Shirts. When a maker tries to make panties out of Cotton Jersey, alas, to my way of feeling things, these items are no better than Men's T-shirts.
There are several Cottons, Linens, Silks, and Flaxes that were used in Woven, not Knitted fabrics, in antique Pantiware and Lingerie--commonly more than 90-years-old--that had a breathtaking "hand" to it. Most, if not all of these old-time fabrics, are no longer made; the currently existing stuff ages and crumbles into dust; plus, it's exceedingly difficult, to get the tailoring just right, as weaves lack the flex and stretch of knits. The better classes of these fabrics, comprises what I'd consider to be the first Golden Age of Ladies' Undies, stretching from maybe the 16th to the early 20th Centuries, when the arguably more interesting world of Synthetics, Knits and Tricots that we know, started.
Interestingly, in conclusion, Pure Silk just doesn't make the cut for me, in nearly all of what I've encountered. I just happen to find, that when done in a knit, Silk shows its fragility, becomes highly unstable, and your pretties are prone to disintegrating into a mess of runs, ladders, tears, rips, scuffs, and pills, all too easily. All the Silk Folks might overcome these problems, if they could fabricate Pure Silk into a Tricot, though I've never heard of such a crittur. I suspect that Silk lacks the tensile strength and durability that Nylon has.

I like hi-cuts because of their ability to contain my equipment. My "boys" are pretty large and I don't like the feeling of elastic on them and stuff hanging out the side. Thus, when I do wear thongs I have to go one or even two sizes higher (which can also make the gusset/thong parts too long making for one heck of a whale tail). Bikinis and strings I wear one size larger for the same reason. I don't do a lot of full briefs but I do like them on occasion for the sheer volume of sexy fabric against my skin.
I cannot wear boyshorts. Stuff just ends p hanging out all over the place. I LOVE how they fit my ass and I love cheeky styles, but sadly the front gets far too annoying. I have thought of learning to tuck but the first couple times I tried it the size of things made it uncomfortable. I will keep trying and then maybe boyshorts or tighter thongs will be a possibility.
One thing I have just recently started wearing is pettipants or tap pants. They are breezy and open like a slip but can be worn under slacks. I have to admit performing on stage while wearing them under my outfit is very erotic. I will buy more of these in the near future because they offer lace and soft fabrics without any VPLs which I cannot have at work. ( I wear discreetly).
I would love to wear lace and mesh pouches for their sheer qualities but the fabric irritates the glans after a while, so when I wear these it is only in anticipation of play or removal soon. So for the "pouch" (yes not a real term here, but that area anyway) I have to wear nylon or softer fibers, but I do try to include lace waistbands, trim, appliques, you name it. I adore lace and floral prints as well as bright pastel colors.
I like full briefs satin or nylon. I usually wear Nancy Kings, Hanes just my size satin, and also Vanity Fairs. Nancy King Split Skirt Liner makes great sleeping panties
I love to wear Olga hiphuggers. They are full cut, anf the seam down the middle of the back just frames my deriere so nice. My equipment is rather large, and Olga's don't give them much room, but the panties are otherwise so nice. The waist band, having the band of ribbon, looks very nice. For the best look, I wear a lace trimmed slip, short so that my panties are just prtially covered. A pair of thigh high stockings with a pair of hiheels looks sexy. I wear breast forms, mot large, but the smaller size just fills me out and adds to the sexy look. In the winter, when a topcoat is ok, I'll wear the topcoat over the sexy outfit and go to an adult video store, go to booth, remove the tocoat, and cruise the booth area.
Full brief is definitely my favourite. Nancy Kings with the double nylon gusset for everyday wear, they are a wonderful fit both front and rear and can contain all the equipment well at full stretch!
Material wise, nylon or a satin-nylon blend (have only found this once). I found a wonderful brief from Shadowline made of the most slippery nylon I have come across and it had no cotton gusset or indeed any gusset seams! Absolutely fabulous except that the gusset was too narrow to keep everything in place. Donnas BTV is the closest material I have found to these so I have asked her to make me a similar brief and will report how that goes after I get them. I think they could be very popular... Bikinis are fine but cannot handle all the excitement sometimes
Donnas Manly Satin is a close second on the material front and I have a pair of Manly Diamond and Manly Pouch briefs going back a way but they are getting well worn and somehow getting too small
I did find another outfit that did a wonderful brief in what they called a satin-nylon blend but the workmanship was crap and the seams came apart on all three pairs I had - pity...
Commercially VF are the best but as long a they keep making them only with a cotton gusset I will not be buying any more.
Well I finally managed to get them altogethre, all from thongs to shorts, hi-cut to full bottom knickers, also I have got together all of the teddies I have as well as all of my nightgowns. These all range from different types of materials including polyester/silk/satin/micromesh and lace. most of these I have bought from Ebay as well as some that I was given or bought by my partner. Two pairs of the thongs came from Portugal ( the ones with the zips).

I did a re-edit of the last paragraph.:

I found a link in herroom specifically for men's wearing of panties. There were a lot of comments. Have a look... http://www.herroom.com/lingerie-for-men.aspx

Purchased a pair of pure silk panties from Secrets In Lace: http://www.secretsinlace.com/product/490/Panties and have not experienced any of the issues you list wearing those and have hand washed those panties quite a few times.
Back about 1981 there was a lingerie shop in the Water Tower Place shopping mall in Chicago on Michigan Ave. I found some nice silk panties and would like to find that brand again think the brand was Lore', Loere' or something similar. The shop went out of business in 1984. The store sent me a postcard advising of the closing. I purchased the last four pairs in my size a week before the shop closed. I purchased many pairs of those silk panties with none of the issues you mention. The panties eventually wore out due to constant wearing many times over a few years.

Some years ago Victoria's Secret made a Rio Bikini Panty that was fantastic. It was much like a regular bikini except that it only covered about two thirds of the backside. They included it in their Second Skin Satin collection which is my favorite and there were very pretty floral prints. Haven't seen these in a while and haven't seen them anywhere else but that is my favorite style of panty. I have all kinds; from thongs to high cut to bikini to grannie panties and I love them all and I wear them all at one time or another. I really like grannie panties that have a wide strong gusset and of course, I love any panty that has that wonderful soft and silky feel to it.
Bikinis are still my favorite, then a string bikini style and preferably in nylon. I do like boyshort panties, they can be so adorable, but the fit can be difficult sometimes.
I have not tried boyshort panties , Theny don't look loke they would fit very well, and I really hate the name, boyshorts !!! NOOOOOOO !!!!
I believe that Boyshorts, or BoyLegs, are derived from the Pettiepanties of yore. Look at my avatar; wouldn't you have more fun, being wrapped up in those, rather than those skimpy "Boyshorts" of today, that more often than not, verge on being more accurately termed, thongs?
Pettiepanties are a revenant, from a Hundred-plus years ago, from the antique pantalettes or bloomers. They'd mutated into Tap Panties, and "French" Knickers and DK's (Directiore Knickers), and Briefs then took their own direction. This divergence happened in about the World War One years. The classic Pettiepanties evolved around the end of World War Two, being intended as panties in their own right, or to act as Underslips. Perhaps ladies who were on their feet a lot, needed undies that would discourage chafeing of the groin and inner thighs, particularly when the girdles of the day, forced the legs together.
The zenith of pettiepanties was in the Mid Sixties to the Early Seventies--when a number of us dove full-bore into hedonism--as they were clearly intended as panties in their own right, to peek out at least Two inches below the hems, of miniskirts that were mid-thigh or above. These were undeniably prick tease panties, I kid you not!! I think that all those nymphettes, and nymphette wannabes, got personal pleasure, as well, from that slightly snug extra Tricot stroking, and rippleing about their legs, too!
Then, those infernal Maxiskirts, of about ankle-length, appeared, along with the plethora of PantsSuits for women. Stiff, scratchy fabrics. Then, pettiepanties became voluminous utilitarian split-legged slips, and remain so, for the more mature woman, to this day.
If Full, High-Waisted Briefs, with low-angled leg openings and super-wide gussetage don't offer you enough fun, in the way of coverage, then you ought to consider pettiepanties.
It's anyone's guess, if these sensuous panties will make a revival, as I think and desire that they must.

ok, that was a waste of time. don't click on the advance editor button!!! it kills everything you just typed. back to subject.
The fullest cut high waist panties I can find. Nice quality nylon like AntronIII Bali Free Forms, Carole banded leg briefs or the kind with the lace at top. Olga panties are very nice too. Wish Shadowline made panties from their night gown material. The Bali FF panties warn backwards are excelent for play time. I usualy wear 3 or 4 pairs like this under my night gowns. LOVE IT!

I must say now that I have found a good hiicut from hanes I like them. 100% tricot for sure but satin is also nice for lounging. I have only been wearing hanes lace hicuts for about 8 months and like the fact that they never leave any lines on ny skin. I was at first worried about others seeing the lace but so far it has not been an issue and they are a bit more feminine than my VF which I like too.
I am still waiting to report on those briefs Donna was going to send me two months ago! She was correcting my original order as nothing arrived in the correct size, style or color. What has been others experience of time to receive orders?
My order for 3 pairs of Pearlescent Granny Panties with leg lace was confirmed 7 weeks ago but since then, nothing. My e-mails to her have also gone unanswered. I am really not sure what has happened to Donna or what we can all do about it.
I'm still waiting, a month, after she confirmed she would make me a panty as restitution for messing up my last two orders! PFM would now have to make something TO DIE FOR in order for me to order again....and I've ordered about 5 times from her.

Be patient, Donna is training a couple of seamstresses to help her. Remember she is trying to run a business as well as keep PFM running. Since Ross dropped out, Donna is doing her best.
I fully understand how to run a business and I have been more than patient. Customer Service should be the FIRST thing you are concerned about.
This is true, but there are exceptions to every rule. Customer service is important, but there can be extentuating circumstances, sometimes not in control of anyone.
Sometimes the customer just has to bite the bullet and be patient.
I've been a salesman, counter person, manager, etc. so I'm not just talking out of my hat. Try sending another e-mail to Donna or perhaps a letter ststaing your concerns as you have here. It couldn't hurt.
Pusspuss, I have sent countless letters. It takes two seconds to send out an email to confirm my comments and give me a date when something will be shipped. I love Donna as a person too, just her business skills leave a lot to be desired. I know I am not the only one on this board that is frustrated. I have received a few private messages on the subject. Donna will lose some of her loyal customer base if she doesn't step it up.
I really prefer a smaller panty, mainly string bikinis and a tight thong. But actually all styles of panties are wonderful! Also pretty lingerie is so enticing, Camisoles, push-up bras, all stockings and tights...and finally garter belts. Mmmm...so enticing!!
most of my panties are hi cut size 7 hanes or fruit of the loom I like the way they feel, going to try satin or silk but dont like full briefs or granny panties or thongs ok I still would wear full briefs if they are satin or silky.

It's wild wednesday! Satin tiger stripe briefs, it's also show and tell at the office, I'll let you know who wins the contest later on. Sorry the pic won't load I think it might've corrupt.
I have Dixie Belle briefs, Ruffled 'sissy' panties (MalcoModes) tap panties and stretch lace. But my favorite by far is a crotchless, or open pantie. to let me dangle free. In particular when wearing a chastity device to show that off.
There is a new company out there now that does a remake of the Victoria Secret Second Skin™ panties. The new company name is KL Brands. Better known as Kate & Laura Fancy Satin Panties Store. Check them out you almost can't tell apart. I should know I own over 30 pairs from them.
Oh yeah I forgot to add my favorite kind. Well I manly like hipster and bikini. But there some out there that are odd balls and most unusual. Them become the must haves.
I agree, full cut vintage nylon panties are best. so much slippery nylon sliding all around. I love it. I usually wear 2 sizes too big and wear more than one pair. very slippery in my pants that way. and play time with several pairs on is awesome!

buddy boy, i have those Valmont panties on the right. i should have trusted my instinct when i bought them because theyre at least one size too big on me but the material is thick and very very soft and smooth. i wear them most of all my panties for now...
my favorite style...
because im on the curvy side, and have too much belly fat, the fuller the cut the better the panties are at hiding my fupa. the skin doesnt pop out of the top of the leg openings. also because of my chubby side, bikinis and hipsters dont tend to stay on my hips tee hee
ive worn thongs and i think that is a very sexy feeling but they dont have full fronts to keep me covered properly
you can see how my fupa is kind of falling out of my panties

I wish I had a pair of valmonts like that, my grandmother had a pair of black panties kinda like in that style, wish I still had them. I wish I could play with your light blue panties they look silky.
